Summary

Biography

As a senior: Royer began the year with a season best finish of 25th at the inaugural Charger Invitational. Later he placed 34th at the GNAC Championship, which the Chargers won. 

As a junior: Royer improved his place at the NAC Championship for the second year in a row. He finished just outside the top-15 in 17th place in a time of 30:00.4 to help the Chargers win their second-straight conference title. Earlier in the season, he posted a 35th place finish at UMaine-Farmington in a time of 20:13.2.

As a sophomore: Royer came away with his best finish of the season at the NAC Championship. He finished 33rd in a time of 30:30.3 as the Chargers won the program's first conference title. He finished 39th earlier in the season at the Keene State Invitational where Colby-Sawyer was the runner-up. 

As a freshman: Royer competed in seven races in his first season with the Chargers. He collected a pair of 38th place finishes at Southern Vermont and the NAC Championship where the team came in second. 

At South Burlington: Matt earned six varsity letters for the Rebels.
