Men's Soccer Defeated by #15 UMass Boston

BOSTON, Mass. - September 6, 2017 - The Colby-Sawyer men's soccer team fell to 15th ranked UMass Boston, 4-0, under the lights on Wednesday evening. 

The Beacons improve to 1-0-2, while Colby-Sawyer drops to 0-3. The Chargers will continue a tough road stretch on Sunday with a 3 p.m. match at Middlebury. 

The home team scored three times in the first and once in the second for the 4-0 final. Giovanni Lima tallied the first two goals of the contest five minutes apart in the early stages of the first half. Jake Davenport added the third goal for the Beacons 29 seconds after Lima's second. 

In the 77th minute, UMass Boston received its fourth goal of the match from Eric Murakami. 

Sean Babinski had 12 saves for Colby-Sawyer. Mohamed Jafar led the Chargers with three shots, while Jake Sykes added a pair.
