NEW LONDON, N.H. – April 8, 2017 – The Colby-Sawyer women's lacrosse team won its fourth straight game after Saturday's 20-1 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) victory over Lyndon.
Colby-Sawyer improves to 7-2 overall and 4-1 in the NAC. The Chargers will wrap up a five-game home stand on Tuesday with a 4:30 p.m. game against Fitchburg State. Lyndon falls to 0-5 overall and 0-4 in the conference. The Hornets will host Castleton on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
Colby-Sawyer junior
Nicole Lavigne (Berlin, Vt.) led all players with eight points on seven goals and an assist. She added six draw controls. Lavigne now has 118 career goals to rank t-10th all-time. Sophomore
Sierra Schuster (Hopkinton, N.H.) filled the stat sheet with six goals, an assist, 10 draw controls, five ground balls and five caused turnovers. Sophomore
Bethany Fennessey (Windham, N.H.) collected a game best six ground balls.
The Hornets received their lone goal from sophomore Felisha Olmstead (St. Johnsbury, Vt.). Junior Mikayla Hodge (Newbury, Vt.) had the assist on the goal and added three ground balls, three draw controls and three caused turnovers. Senior Carmen Mears (Barre, Vt.) picked up a team best five ground balls.

Meghan Castellano (Wallingford, Conn.) made eight saves to improve to 6-0. Lyndon goalie Samantha Turgeon (St. Johnsbury, Vt.) had eight saves in the first half, while junior Amanda Hadley (Rutland, Vt.) played the second half with one save.
