NEW LONDON, N.H. – April 5, 2017 – The Colby-Sawyer women's lacrosse team topped Johnson State, 19-1, in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action on Wednesday afternoon.
Colby-Sawyer improves to 6-2 overall and 3-1 in the NAC. The Chargers will play its fourth straight home game on Saturday with a 1 p.m. tilt against Lyndon. Johnson State falls to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in the conference. The Badgers will play Thomas on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Norwich University.
The Chargers received goals from 10 different players for the second consecutive game. Junior
Molly Mulcahy (Nashua, N.H.) recorded a game best seven points on five goals and two assists. Sophomore
Brittany Ireland (Amherst, N.H.) was second on the team with six points on three goals and three assists. Junior
Courtney Lampert (Derry, N.H.) tallied two goals, four ground balls and four turnovers. Freshman
Abby Landon (Fort Edward, N.Y.) scored her first collegiate goal on a free position early at 27:01 of the second half.
The Badgers received a goal from leading scorer Nichole Weeks (Barre, Vt.). She added five draw controls, five ground balls and five caused turnovers.

Meghan Castellano (Wallingford, Conn.) played the first half in goal and made four saves to improve to 5-0 on the season. She then played the field in the second half and scored a goal. Freshman
Kailyn Lapham (Medway, Mass.) played the final 30 minutes, allowed one goal and made one save.
Johnson State goalie Heatherann Esden (Southington, Conn.) had seven stops for the Badgers.
