NEW LONDON, N.H. - November 4, 2017 - The Colby-Sawyer women's swimming and diving team had a great showing against Division II Saint Michael's on Saturday afternoon. The Purple Knights came away with a close 130-109 victory.
RESULTS
Makenzie Welch,
Jocelyn Biedrzycki,
Meagan Thomsen and
Jinnae Jang began the day with a second place in the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:03.82.
Jang then came away with a victory in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:09.48.
Winning a pair of events on Saturday was
Anna Gaskill. She was the first to finish in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:52.60 and earned first place points in the 400 IM with a time of 5:24.65.
In the day's next event,
Zoe Daudier posted a victory for the Chargers. She clocked in at 1:07.82 to win the 100 backstroke.
Thomsen added a second place in the 50 freestyle (27.42), while Biedrzycki placed second in the 100 breaststroke (1:21.13).
Welch came in a close second in the 200 backstroke in 2:24, less than two seconds behind first place.
Grace Herde was awarded first place points in the 100 butterfly (1:23.76).
Jang, Daudier, Herde and Gaskill earned first place in the 400 freestyle with a combined time of 4:04.07.
The Chargers will host Plymouth State on Friday before welcoming Elms on Saturday.
