NORTHFIELD, Vt. - October 28, 2017 - The Colby-Sawyer women's swimming and diving team picked up its third win of the season after a 119-100 victory at Norwich on Saturday afternoon.
The Chargers will return home to host Saint Michael's next Saturday at 1 p.m.
RESULTS
The afternoon began with a 400 medley relay team victory by
Jinnae Jang,
Jocelyn Biedrzycki,
Anna Gaskill and
Makenzie Welch. The team combined for a time of 4:38.08.
Gaskill and Jang then took the top two spots in the 500 freestyle. Gaskill clocked in at 6:01.13, while Jang was right behind in 6:04.79. Gaskill came away with another victory in the 100 freestyle in a time of 1:01.62. Jang posted a couple of wins in the 50 freestyle (26.66) and 100 backstroke (1:06.30).
Welch added a first place in the 200 IM by a 33 second margin with a time of 2:32.37.
In the 50 backstroke,
Meagan Thomsen came away with first place points in a time of 31.30 beating the next finisher by nine seconds.
Zoe Daudier was the first to the wall in the 100 IM for a winning time of 1:11.83.
The afternoon ended the way it began for the Chargers with a relay victory. Jang, Welch, Thomsen and Gaskill combined for a time of 1:51.76 to take top honors in the 200 freestyle relay.
