Men's Soccer Earns 3-0 Road Win at Eastern Nazarene

QUINCY, Mass. - September 7, 2016 - The Colby-Sawyer College men's soccer team earned its second shutout of the season after defeating Eastern Nazarene, 3-0 on Wednesday evening.

The Chargers improve to 2-1 and will have a week off before traveling to Clark next Wednesday. Head Coach Charles Metz was an assistant coach the previous two seasons at Clark. Eastern Nazarene evens its record to 2-2.

Colby-Sawyer wasted little time to get on the board, scoring in the 10th minute of action. Senior Rick Prindiville headed home his first goal of the season off a cross from junior Jake Sykes

Junior Denali Sexton doubled the Chargers' lead in the 24th minute when he connected off a long-range volley for his team best fifth tally of the season.

The visitors added an insurance goal in the 56th minute when senior Andrew Clothier found the back of the net off a free kick.

Sophomores Jake Towle and Shane Sacks combined for the clean sheet after each playing a half. Towle made three saves and earned the win.
