WENHAM, Mass. - September 17, 2016 - The Colby-Sawyer men's tennis team played a pair of matches on Saturday at the Gordon Invitational. The Chargers fell to Babson 9-0 in the first round and then dropped a 6-3 decision to Gordon. 

In the two closest singles matches of the day against Babson, Gustav Jigrup and Alex Wrigth each won a set at the No. 1 and No. 2 singles spots, respectively, before falling to the Beavers' top two players.

Against Gordon, Ryan Sawyer and Will Triebel got the Chargers on the board by winning at No. 3 doubles 9-8 (7-4). Colby-Sawyer would get two more points in singles play from Alex Wright and Sawyer. Wright came away with a straight sets victory at the top flight 6-2, 6-4, while Sawyer won in the second spot.
