As a senior: Sawyer was named All-NAC Doubles First Team, All-NAC Singles Second Team, and NAC Tournament MVP. Sawyer was second on the team with 16 doubles wins and fourth on the team with 11 singles wins. He teamed with Dean Boodakian to go 3-0 in NAC doubles matches with two wins coming in the second position and one victory at the top spot. The duo also picked up wins against Division II opponents from Stonehill and Franklin Pierce. He also won all three of his conference singles matches. Sawyer won his singles and doubles matches in a win over Penn State Berks in the NAC/NEAC crossover match to send the Chargers to the NCAA Tournament. Sawyer finished his career ranked 10th in doubles victories with 35.
As a junior: Sawyer was named All-NAC Singles First Team, All-NAC Doubles Second Team, and NAC All-Tournament Team. Sawyer teamed with Dean Boodakian for a perfect 5-0 record against NAC teams and did not let any opposing team get closer than an 8-5 score. The team also picked up signature wins out of conference against Division II opponents Southern New Hampshire and Saint Michael's. One of Sawyer's eight singles wins came against Saint Michael's. He also recorded one of the Chargers' two points against MIT.
As a sophomore: Sawyer picked up a 6-0, 6-0 conference win over MCLA at the sixth singles flight. He added three convincing doubles wins by scores of 8-0, 8-0 and 8-2 against Lyndon, Johnson State and Green Mountain, respectively.
As a freshman: Ryan had a solid first season with the Chargers and went 9-6 in all matches. He was 5-3 in singles and 3-0 in conference matches. Ryan also went 3-0 in conference doubles matches and 4-3 overall.
At Martha's Vineyard Regional: Ryan was a member of the tennis and cross country teams. He was an Eastern Athletic All-Star and won a pair of state championships.
Personal: Son of Thomas and Elizabeth. Has a sister named Meghan. Ryan is a Business Administration major.
