Colby-Sawyer Athletics

As a junior: Burke was named to the All-GNAC Singles Second Team. He went 4-1 in GNAC singles matches and finished with seven victories overall in 2018-19, primarily from the fourth flight. He picked up important straight-set wins to help Colby-Sawyer defeat Endicott and Division II Saint Michael's.

As a sophomore: Burke went 9-8 in singles and 10-10 in doubles. He was named to the NAC All-Tournament Team, Doubles First Team and Singles Second Team. Burke and doubles teammate Cam Lynch went 4-0 in the NAC. The duo earned wins over Johnson, Lyndon, Thomas and MCLA. Individually, Burke was 5-0 against conference singles opponents. All five of his wins came in straight sets.

As a freshman: Burke collected a 13-10 overall record in his first season. He went 9-4 in singles and 4-6 in doubles. Burke finished the conference season with a perfect 5-0 singles record and 3-0 doubles record. He earned one NAC Rookie of the Week award during the season. 

At St. Joseph: Matt played tennis for the Cadets. He was named All-FCIAC and reached the quarterfinals at the state championship in three of four years.
