SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. - April 2, 2016 - The Colby-Sawyer women's tennis team fell at Mount Holyoke, 8-1 on Saturday to conclude a two-day trip to western Massachusetts.
The Chargers drop to 15-5 and will resume action next Sunday with a home match against Wheaton. Mount Holyoke improves to 10-6 and plays at Connecticut College tomorrow.
Evelyn Miller recorded the Chargers' lone point with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Clara Wang at No. 4 singles. Miller is 15-2 in singles play this season, which is tied for the fourth most wins in a season in program history.
Ashlyn Ramsay and
Ashley Woodside dropped a hard-fought No. 1 doubles match, 8-6 while
Aislinn O'Connor and
Evelyn Miller also pushed their opponents to the edge but fell 9-7.
