LEWISTON, Maine - March 6, 2016 - The Colby-Sawyer women's tennis team fell at Bates College 9-0 in its first match since winning the NEAC East Division title on October 10.
The Chargers drop to 14-3 and will continue to play a few matches in preparation of the NAC/NEAC Crossover on May 8. Next up will be a home match on March 23 against Bentley University, which will be played at the Boss Tennis Center on the campus of Dartmouth College. Bates improves to 3-2.
In the afternoon's tightest match, Colby-Sawyer's top doubles duo of
Ashlyn Ramsay and
Ashley Woodside gave Bella Stone and Elizabeth Erbafina of Bates a battle but were edged, 8-5.
