BAYAMON, P.R. - March 16, 2016 - The Colby-Sawyer women's lacrosse team had a strong second half but could not complete the comeback in an 11-7 loss to Plymouth State at Loubriel Stadium in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
The Chargers will resume play next Wednesday with a home opener against Becker at 4 p.m.
After trailing 11-3 at the first half, the Chargers turned the defense up and did not allow Plymouth State to score in the second. Colby-Sawyer outshot the Panthers 10-5 in the frame and scored four times.
Leading the way for Colby-Sawyer was
Caitlyn Whearty. She scored two goals and added an assist. Five other Chargers got on the scoreboard with single goals.

Katherine Osborn,
Maryalice Gurnee,
Carli Chiodo and
Sierra Schuster added single goals.
Bailey Starr and
Molly Mulcahy led the team with two assists apice.
