PLYMOUTH, N.H. - October 25, 2016 - Freshman
Devin Kelly (Lynnfield, Mass.) scored the lone goal in a 1-0 Colby-Sawyer men's soccer victory at Plymouth State on a blustery Tuesday afternoon.
Colby-Sawyer has recorded its third straight season of double digit wins with a record of 10-6-1. The Chargers will host intrastate rival New England College on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) quarterfinals. The Panthers drop to 4-9-2 and will conclude the regular season on Saturday with a 1 p.m. home match against UMass Dartmouth.
After a scoreless first half, the Chargers broke the tie with a goal in the 52nd minute. Senior
Andrew Clothier (Matamata, New Zealand) sent a corner kick towards the box that was redirected by sophomore
Matt Schiller (Slingerlands, N.Y.) to Kelly who finished his sixth goal of the season. Clothier increased his school record mark of career assists to 29.

Jake Towle (Barnstead, N.H.) made seven saves to earn the clean sheet. Plymouth goalie Felix Lindeberg kept the home team in the match with 10 saves.
Despite being outshot 19-17, Colby-Sawyer was able to put 11 shots on target to Plymouth's seven. The Chargers also held an 8-3 advantage in corner kicks.
