FARMINGTON, Maine - January 23, 2016 - Eight different players combined to make 16 three-pointers in Colby-Sawyer's 88-58 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) victory at UMaine-Farmington on Saturday afternoon.
The 16 treys is tied for the third most makes in program history. Colby-Sawyer improves to 11-5 overall and 7-3 in the NAC. The Chargers will host Maine Maritime and Husson next weekend.
Colby-Sawyer's Wol Majong charted a game-high 20 points on 5-of-12 shooting and sank 7-of-8 trips to the free throw line. Majong complimented his 20-point outing with seven rebounds and four assists. Jourdain Bell scored 14 points off the bench with 12 coming beyond the arc. Peter Donato and Jake Maynard added 13 points apiece for the Chargers. In addition to Bell, Majong and Maynard making three-pointers, Milani Hicks, Taylor Grande, Evyn Nolette, Kohl Meyers, and Nate Cook also contributed from deep. Nick Hilton netted a team-high 12 points and made 8-of-9 attempts to the foul line. The senior also grabbed three rebounds and dished an assist. Ryan Rice added 11 points for UMF on 4-of-10 shooting and recorded two assists. Eric Berry followed with 10 points, six rebounds, and six assists.
Colby-Sawyer made 16 treys and 11 two-point baskets in the win. The Chargers also were effecient from the free throw line making 18 of 22 attempts. The visitors held a decisive advantage on the glass 47-32.
