NEW LONDON, N.H. – January 19, 2016 – Four players scored at least 15 points to lead the Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team to a 78-64 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) victory over Lyndon on Tuesday night.

Colby-Sawyer improves to 10-4 overall and 6-2 in the NAC. The Chargers will head to Maine this weekend for games at Thomas and UMaine-Farmington on Friday and Saturday, respectively. Lyndon drops to 6-7 overall and 4-5 in conference play. The Hornets will begin a five game home stand on Thursday against Pine Manor.

Senior Peter Donato (Portland, Maine) had a game-high 19 points and five blocks. The five swats moved him into a tie for third on the all-time list with 97. Seniors Wol Majong (Manchester, N.H.) and Jake Maynard (Shelburne, Vt.) had 16 points apiece, while freshman Jourdain Bell (Manchester, N.H.) scored 15 points in his second game of the season. Sophomore guard Taylor Grande (Bedford, N.H.) added eight points and eight assists.

Lyndon had 12 different players in the scoring column led by a 10-point effort from junior Eric Vargas (Lowell, Mass.). Sophomore forward Dawda Jallow (Allen, Texas) had team-highs of eight rebounds and five blocks. Freshman Gabriel Torres (Woodland, Calif.) added nine points in 16 minutes off the bench.

Colby-Sawyer took an 8-2 lead after a Bell jumper just over three minutes into the game. Lyndon cut the deficit to three on a couple of occasions over the next two minutes but could not get any closer. The Chargers used a 23-6 run in the span of 9:17 to take their biggest lead of the half at 35-15. The Hornets came within 11 after an Alexis Ravello (Lowell, Mass.) layup, but Colby-Sawyer would take a 42-28 lead into the break.

The Chargers were able to hold a comfortable double figure lead throughout the second half and shot 12-of-15 from the free throw line to Lyndon's 12-of-21 to secure a 78-64 victory.
