PLYMOUTH, N.H. - September 11, 2015 - The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team split a pair of matches on the first day of the Granite State Challenge. The Chargers fell to today's host, Plymouth State, 3-0 but ended the the night with a 3-0 win over Daniel Webster.
The tournament will head south on Saturday to Keene State where the Chargers (2-7) will play Rivier and the host Owls.
Colby-Sawyer fell to the Panthers 25-15, 26-14 and 25-18.
Kelsey Sullivan,
Kelsey McCulley and
Alli Lahiff each had four kills.
Lexi Strong had a match best 17 digs, while
Laura Smolinski finished with 15 assists.
In the night cap, the Chargers defeated Daniel Webster 26-24, 25-19 and 25-18. -
BOX SCOREKelsey McCulley recorded a match best 12 kills, while
Gabrielle Rodriguez added eight kills and 16 digs. Freshman
Courtney Murray hit .429 and had four kills including the match clinching kill.
Lexi Strong added a match-high 20 digs.
Kelsey Sullivan contributed nine kills and eight digs.
