NORTON, Mass. - April 23, 2015 - The Colby-Sawyer men's tennis team fell at Wheaton, 8-1 in a final tune-up match before hosting the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) East Division Tournament this weekend.
Colby-Sawyer evens its record to 9-9, while Wheaton improves to even its record at 7-7. The Chargers earned the top spot in this year's NAC Tournament and will play fourth seed Green Mountain in the semifinals on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
The Chargers' lone point of the match came from freshman
Ross Kenney. He defeated his No. 5 singles opponent 6-3, 6-3. At the third flight,
Dean Boodakian battled to even the match at a set apiece after dropping the first 6-4. He came back with a 7-5 second set victory, but was edged in a super tie break, 10-8.
