NEW LONDON, N.H. – October 3, 2015 – The Colby-Sawyer men's soccer team scored three times in the first half en route to a 3-0 victory over the University of Maine at Farmington in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) match on Saturday afternoon.
Colby-Sawyer evens its record to 5-5 overall and improves to 3-0 in the NAC. The Chargers will host Thomas College on Sunday at noon. The Beavers fall to 3-4-1 overall and 1-1-1 in conference play. UMF travels down I-89 to play at New England College at noon on Sunday.
Sophomore
Denali Sexton (Barrington, R.I.) scored twice in the opening nine minutes of the game to give the Chargers a nice cushion in the early going. His first tally came at 4:08 when he forced a turnover in the UMF backfield and scored inside the far post. Sexton's second goal of the match and fifth of the season came at 8:43 when he finished a cross from freshman
Anthony Romeo (Waterford, N.Y.).
Sexton was involved in the action again at 29:44 when he sent a ball into the box to the foot of freshman
Bryce Schultz (Durham, N.H.). Schultz was able to beat the UMF keeper for his first collegiate tally. The assist for Sexton is his team leading seventh of the season and 13
th of his career tying him for ninth on the career list.

Sean Babinski (Concord, Calif.) and freshman
Shane Sacks (Huntington Station, N.Y.) combined for the clean sheet after playing 45 minutes apiece. Babinski made one save, while Sacks was not tested.
UMF keeper Matt Wilson (Hamden, Conn.) stopped five shots in the loss.
