NEW LONDON, N.H. – October 24, 2015 – Colby-Sawyer sophomore
Denali Sexton (Barrington, R.I.) scored twice to lift the men's soccer team to a 2-0 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) victory over New England College on senior day, Saturday afternoon.
The Chargers improve to 10-6 overall and finish the regular season with an 8-1 conference record. Colby-Sawyer will host Plymouth State on Wednesday before beginning the NAC tournament. New England College drops to 11-7 overall and 5-4 in conference play. The Pilgrims will travel to Saint Joseph's of Maine on Tuesday.
Denali Sexton provided the game's offense with his 16th and 17th goals of the season. After a scoreless first half, the Chargers broke through in the 59th minute when freshman
Noah Camelo (Marblehead, Mass.) sent a through ball to Sexton leading to a break away.
In the 78th minute, Sexton again was able to separate himself from a defender and score past the diving keeper.
The 17 goals for Sexton ties a single season record, while his 47 points this season is a single season record.

Shane Sacks (Huntington Station, N.Y.) improved to 5-1 after making eight saves in the clean sheet. NEC goalie Tenzin Khenrab (Greenfield, Mass.) had two stops in the loss.
The Pilgrims held advantages in shots 18-9 and corner kicks 9-3.

Zach Anderson (Wilmington, Mass.) was honored for his four years of dedication to the men's soccer program.
