The home team broke through in the 32nd minute after a scramble in front of the net left the right side of the goal open. Junior

Rachel Quaye who snuck the ball into the bottom right corner of the net for the eventual game-winner. The goal was Quaye's third of the season and second game-winner.

New England College had a decent scoring chance early in the second frame when the Chargers' keeper came out to challenge a play. Senior Kristen Walker (Franklin, Mass.) entered the 18-yard box on the left side as the keeper came out for a race to the ball. Walker was able to get the first foot on it, but sophomore

The Chargers offensive attack was able to control possession and take the final three shots of the contest to help preserve the 1-0 victory.

Maura Kane (Derry, N.H.) stepped in for the final 39 minutes and made two saves for the combined clean sheet. The Pilgrims had solid goaltending from Tricia Sardagnola who ended the game with 13 saves.
