Mike Dias' Double-Double Powers Men's Basketball Past Thomas, 87-75

WATERVILLE, Maine – February 4, 2012 - Colby-Sawyer's Mike Dias (Carver, Mass.) put up a double-double scoring 23 points and grabbing 14 rebounds to lead the Chargers past Thomas, 87-75 in the North Atlantic Conference on Saturday afternoon.

With the loss the Terriers fall to 11-9 (8-6 NAC) on the season, while the Chargers improve to 14-7 (11-3 NAC).

Both teams struggled from the field early in the game, but it was the Chargers who took control of the game and after the first ten minutes of play held a 15-9 lead. With 6:12 left to play the Terriers went on a 13-6 scoring run started by and finished by Marquis Pollard who gave the Terriers a 35-33 lead with 19 seconds left in the half.

The second half saw the Chargers quickly grab the lead back from the Terriers as they pulled away from the home team shooting 75% from the three-point land in the second. Will Bardaglio had three of his five three-pointers in the second half on his way to a 17 point performance. He moved into 9th on Colby-Sawyer's all-time scoring list with 1303 points.

The Chargers saw all five of their starters reach double figures in points, Dias led with 23, Bardaglio had 17, Corey Willis added 12, James Tobin and Koang Thok both finished with 10. Along with DeVaughn two other Terriers hit double figures, Stanley Greene Jr. finished with 18, and Pollard finished with 12.

The Terriers will travel to Johnson State Friday to take on the Badgers at 7:30 p.m. in a NAC regular season matchup. Colby-Sawyer will take on the Eagles from Husson University at home on Friday.
