Biography

AT COLBY-SAWYER
2023: Murphy was the top setter for the Chargers since the beginning of the year with 489 assists, 99 digs, 22 service aces and 16 kills. CJ ranked 9th in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) in assists (489) and assists per set (5.89). Murphy dished out a career-best 43 assists on April 6th in a four-set win at Dean College to go with two kills and three service aces. CJ sits 2nd in Colby-Sawyer men's volleyball history in assists (489) and assists per set (5.89).

PRIOR TO COLBY-SAWYER: Graduate of Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, where Murphy was a 2021 Central Massachusetts Champion and a 2021 State Championship Finalist. CJ was also a service award winner in 2019, 2021 & 2022, while being a team captain his senior year. Murphy ended 2022 with 616 total assists from the setter position.
