Colby-Sawyer Athletics

As a junior: Benson started in all 20 games, anchoring a tough defensive line. His blistering speed and agility helped the team to only allow 1.57 goals a game. Benson's leadership in the backfield contributed to one of the best seasons the Chargers have had in recent years. He also placed 57.1% of his shots on net.

As a sophomore: Benson started all 19 games for Colby-Sawyer, once again leading a solid defensive squad.

As a freshman: Benson and his quickness bolstered the Chargers defensive. His speed made it tough for any opposing offensives to mound an aggressive attack.

At Essex High School: Benson was a multiple sport varsity athlete for the Hornets. He led his soccer team, under Coach Scott Mosher, to a semi-finals appearance his junior year and helped generate a state championship for his track team. His success was also found in the classroom as he has earned honors multiple times. His intellect will lead him in pursuing medical school post graduation from Colby-Sawyer.

Personal: Son of Mark and Bonnie Benson…Has to brothers named Kirk and Bryce…Double majoring in Biology and Exercise and Sports Science.
