As a senior: Austin turned in his best statistical year as the Chargers' goalie. He finished with a single season record 10 clean sheets and a program record 13 wins. He exits Colby-Sawyer tied for second with 27 career wins and second in goals against averaged (1.23). Austin was named to the All-NAC First Team as the top keeper in the league and he added three NAC Defensive Player of the Week awards and a nod as an ECAC Defensive Player of the Week. Austin ranked 27th in the nation in 2014 with a .861 save percentage. Â
As a junior: Austin played all but 38 minutes of the season in net for the Chargers. He had an impressive goals against average of 1.22 and recorded 121 saves, which wastied for fourth most in a single season. He earned nine wins, which is seventh most in a season, and added seven clean sheets. Â
As a sophomore: Austin started 13 games in net and recorded 84 saves, which ranked him, 44th in the nation for saves per game at 6.46. He sits in ninth place on Colby-Sawyer’s all-time saves list with 117. Austin also is fifth in on the goals against average list with a mark of 1.62.Â
As a freshman: Austin played eight games in goal in his first season. He earned a win and a tie in four decisions.Â
At Westerly: Nick was an All-State goalkeeper for the Bulldogs. He recorded the must shutouts in school history.
Personal: Son of John and Sandra. Has two sisters named Sarah and Kathleen. Nick is a Sport Management major.
