As a senior: Wheeler-Omiunu, a team captain, played and started 20 matches as one of the Chargers' top defenders. He was an integral part in helping Colby-Sawyer to a program record 10 shutouts and a program tying 13 wins. Wheeler-Ominu recorded three goals and a pair of assists. Two of his goals, one which was the game-winner, came in the program's first ECAC victory, a 4-3 overtime win over Albertus Magnus. He also was named to the All-NAC Tournament Team.Â
As a junior: Wheeler-Omiunu played in all of the Chargers' 21 games and led the defense as team captain. He began the season with two goals on two shots in the first two matches. He added his third goal of the season, which was the game-winner, at Becker on Sept. 21.Â
As a sophomore: Wheeler-Omiunu was named Second Team All-Conference after a consistent season leading the Chargers' backline. In addition to his solid defense, Wheeler-Omiunu added a goal, an assist and six shots on the season.
As a freshman: Carlton played in 16 games in his first season.
Personal: Son of Mr. Omiunu and Mrs. Wheeler-Omiunu. Has a sister named Tammy and two brothers named Andrew and Daniel. Carlton is a Sport Management major.Â
