Colby-Sawyer Athletics

As a senior: DJ, a team co-captain, was named the 2016 Senior Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year and was nominated for NAC Man of the Year. DJ also garnered All-NAC Sportsmanship team accolades. He was named to the NAC All-Academic Team for the second year in a row. DJ had a solid final season with three top-30 finishes highlighted by a 15th place at Southern Vermont. 

As a junior: DJ did not compete until the third race of the season where he placed 57th at Middlebury. His best race came at the most important time of the season; the NAC Championship. DJ helped the Chargers to a runner-up finish by placing 19th. DJ also was named NAC All-Academic. 

As a sophomore: DJ battled injury throughout the season, but turned in a couple of nice times down the stretch. His best race came in the team's win at the Thomas Terrier Invitational on September 14. He finished 25th in a time of 19:30.94. 

As a freshman: DJ's first season was highlighted by a 7th place finish at the University of Maine-Farmington, in his first race for the Chargers. His best time of the season came at Johnson. He crossed the finish line in 28:23 and placed 13th. 

At Exeter: DJ earned three letters in track and one letter in soccer for the Blue Hawks. DJ is a member of the National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society.

Personal: Son of Barbara Stevens and David Ayotte. DJ is an Exercise Science major and a member of the Colby-Sawyer track & field team.
