As a senior: Bunnell, who earned his second straight nod to the All-NAC First Team, earned four NAC Runner of the Week honors during the season. The co-captain placed in the top-6 of four races in 2015, including a win at New England College in early September in which he finished with a 5k school record time of 16:15. The next week, Bunnell set a program record in the 8k at UMass Dartmouth with a time of 25:29.38. He was the Chargers' top finisher at the NAC Championship, placing fourth, to help the team to a runner-up finish.
As a junior: Ben had another great season for the cross country team. He was named All-NAC First Team after placing fifth at the NAC Championship and helped the Chargers to finish as runners-up. He began the season with back-to-back second place finishes at New England College and the Castleton Invitational, which the Chargers won. Ben added another runner-up finish at Western New England and recorded his fifth top-5 finish at Westfield by placing fourth.
As a sophomore: Ben made an immediate impact on the Chargers cross country team in his first season at Colby-Sawyer. He was named All-NAC First Team and set a new 5k record in the season's first race at New England College. He clocked in at 16:16 and placed third in the race. He registered seven top-10 finishes during the season, which included a second place at Thomas on September 14.
As a freshman: Competed at UNH.
At St. Johnsbury: Ben was a state champion in indoor and outdoor track.
Personal: Son of Gary and Wendy. Has two brothers (Ken, Hayden) and one sister (Carrie). Brother Hayden is also on the cross country team. Ben, who is also on the indoor and outdoor track teams, is an Exercise Science major.
