2022-23 Accolades: O'Connell had seven more top-three finishes for the Chargers in 2022-23. Shannon took home three medals in the GNAC Indoor Championships placing first in the 5k, second in the 3k and third in the distance medley relay. O'Connell had another first place finish in the 10k on March 25th in the BSU Invite on March 25th. Shannon ended the year with a third place finish in the GNAC Outdoor Championships in the 4x800 meter relay. 

2021-22 Accolades: O'Connell finished seven top-three finishes for the Chargers in 2021-22. Shannon took home a silver medal in the 5K in the GNAC Indoor Track & Field Championship on February 13th finishing with a time of 20:22.01. O'Connell won both her events on May 1st in the GNAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships winning both the 5K (19:26.62) and the 10K (44:35.69). 

2019-20 Accolades: O'Connell was a GNAC Rookie of the Week. Finished fourth at GNAC Championship in 3k.

PRIOR TO COLBY-SAWYER: Graduate of Peabody High School, where O'Connell was a cross country all-star, indoor track & field league champion and outdoor track & field league champion. O'Connell is also a member of the National Honor Society.
