2022-23 Accolades: Makela had a first place finish on April 30th at the GNAC Outdoor Championships as part of the 4x400 meter relay.

PRIOR TO COLBY-SAWYER: Graduate of York High School and was a two-time regional champion in field hockey. Makela was also a member of the National Honor Society and All-Academic team.
