Biography

AT COLBY-SAWYER
2021:
 Lanctot ended her collegiate career with her best season yet dishing out a program-record six assists to go along with 10 goals good for seventh in program history. Julia had the best game of her career on October 3rd against Thomas College (Maine) registering five points including two goals and an assist. Lanctot continued to come through in the clutch at Lasell University on October 27th with a penalty shot goal with 50 seconds left to tie the game which eventually ended in a Chargers win to clinch the GNAC regular season title. Lanctot also had a game-winner in the playoffs as she scored the first goal in a 3-0 victory versus Elms College on November 3rd. Julia was later named to the GNAC All-Conference First-Team as well as making the 2021 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Scholar of Distinction list maintaining a 3.9 or higher cumulative grade-point average during the first semester of the 2021-22 school year. Lanctot finishes her career tied for third all-time in points (62), fourth in goals (22), second in assists (18) and fourth in game-winners (6) in program history. 

2020: The team did not compete due to COVID-19. Lanctot was later named to the 2020 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Scholar of Distinction list maintaining a 3.9 or higher cumulative grade-point average during the first semester of the 2020-21 school year.

2019: Lanctot was named to the All-GNAC Second Team. She posted at least 10 points in a season for the third year in a row. Lanctot was third on the team with 12 points on four goals and four assists. The four assists tied for the most on the team. . She had a team best two game-winning goals to give her four in three years.  Lanctot was named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad and a Scholar of Distinction for the second year in a row. She also landed on the GNAC All-Academic Team for the second year in a row. 

2018: Lanctot was fourth on the team with 10 points on three goals and four assists. She recorded four assists in back-to-back seasons to give her eight for her career. Lanctot was named a 2018 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III Scholar of Distinction. She was also named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad and the GNAC All-Academic Team. 

2017: Lanctot made an immediate impact in her first year and started in all 16 of her appearances. She was third on the team with 14 points on five goals and four assists. She notched her first collegiate goal, in the second game of the season, in a victory over Elms. Two of her other goals were game-winners in 2-0 victories over Wheelock and Regis. 

PRIOR TO COLBY-SAWYER: Graduate of Timberlane Regional High School. Lanctot played varsity field hockey and lacrosse for the Owls. She was team captain, first team all-state and NH All-Academic. She helped guide her field hockey team to a state championship in senior year. Lanctot is a member of the National Honor Society, English Honor Society, Science Honor Society and Drama Honor Society.
