As a senior: Thurber was named to the All-NAC Second Team for the second year in a row. He hit .284 and led the team with 88 at-bats and 29 starts. He was second on the squad with 25 hits and a .420 slugging percentage. He was tied for the team lead with a career best 18 runs scored and led the team with a career-high 12 doubles. Seven of his doubles came in conference games to rank fourth among NAC players. He finished his career with 23 doubles to tie for 10th most all-time.
As a junior: Thurber earned All-NAC Second Team honors after having his best offensive year at the plate in 2017. He was tied for the team lead with three home runs and was tied for second with 18 RBIs. Thurber also ranked second on the squad with a .484 slugging percentage to go along with his 28 hits and five doubles. He played and started in 29 games and had at least one hit in 22 of them.
As a sophomore: Thurber led the team with 19 RBIs and hit one of the team's two homeruns on the year. He added six stolen bases. Thurber started in 29 of his 32 appearances and collected the fourth most at-bats with 93.
As a freshman: Thurber played in 34 of the Chargers' 36 games in his first season. He started 31 times and was second on the team with 10 runs scored. He also was tied for second in RBIs with eight and stolen bases with four.
At Ashland: Thurber was a three-sport athlete for the Clockers, playing baseball, basketball and football. He was named to the Tri-Valley League baseball second team and was voted Most Dedicated by his peers. Thurber was a member of the 2013 TVL baseball championship and 2014 TVL basketball championship teams.
