As a senior: Bender led the Chargers with 29 points on 12 goals and five assists in her final season. She became the program's all-time leader in goals and finished third in career points. Bender was named Colby-Sawyer's Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year and earned the Wynne Jesser McGrew Scholar-Athlete Award. She was named NSCAA First Team, NAC First Team, and NEWISA Third Team.
As a junior: Adrienne was named to the All-NAC First Team for the second straight season. She had a team best 13 goals and 29 points. Bender also climbed the all-time career lists in points (6th, 70) and goals (6th, 32). Three of her goals were game-winners.Â
As a sophomore: Adrienne had a breakout year with team highs of 15 goals and 32 points. She appeared in all 20 games and scored at least two goals four times. Adrienne had a team best six game-winning goals. She was named to the NAC First Team.
As a freshman: Adrienne was an impact player for Colby-Sawyer as soon as she stepped onto the field. She played in all 19 games and led the team in goals (4) and points (9). Two of her goals proved to be game-winners. She recorded her first collegiate tally against Anna Maria on September 11.
At South Kingstown: Adrienne was a starting midfielder for the Rebels. She led her team to two divisional championships in 2008 and 2009. Bender was an All-Tournament selection in 2009. She also graduated with honors.
Personal: Daughter of William and Elise Bender. Has one brother named Daryl and one sister named Charlotte. Adrienne is an Exercise Science major. She also is a member of the women's lacrosse team.Â
