At Lyman Memorrial High School: Parnell was a two sport letter winner as he was a member of the baseball and alpine ski racing team. He helped the Bulldog Baseball team to the ECC Class S championship in 2010.

Personal: Son of Mary-Jane and Jeff Parnell. Has one sister named Kristine. Majoring in Environmental Studies.
