WOMEN'S LACROSSE PICKS UP SIXTH STRAIGHT ROAD WIN OF SEASON

West Hartford, Conn. - The Colby-Sawyer women's lacrosse team hit the road Saturday afternoon to take on the Blue Jays of Saint Joseph's (Conn.) in search for their sixth straight win on the road. 

Rapid Recap: 
  • The Chargers would open things up early in the first half taking a 4-1 lead in the first ten minutes. Madeline Knight (Pownal, Maine) would open things up on an assist from Elena Bronson (Monkton, VT.). Bronson would score the second goal on an assist from Rose Finlayson (Hopkinton, N.H.). Lauren Vignola (Ringwood, N.J.) would extend the lead to 3-0 before the Blue Jays, Kailey Krusewski would net their first goal of the game. Grace Joly (Windham, Maine), and Finlayson would score to make it 5-2 going into the second quarter.
  • Finlayson and Vignola opened the scoring for the Chargers in the second quarter before Bronson would assist another goal, this time to fellow Senior Cecilia Ponzini (Windham, N.H.). Alana Picard would give the Blue Jays their third goal of the game halfway through the quarter. Bronson, Finlayson, and Joly would all pick up another goal to go into half time up 11-3. 
  • Finlayson would net two more, while Joly netted her third goal of the game to make it 14-3. The Blue Jays would go on to score three unanswered goals before Joly scored her fourth of the game to put the Chargers up 15-6 with 5:45 left. The Blue Jays would find three more goals, but the Chargers would come out on top 15-9. 
Inside the Numbers: 
  • This is the Chargers sixth straight road win of the 2026 season and fifth GNAC win of the year.
  • Addison Glavin (Andover, Mass.) would pick up 9 saves on net while recording her sixth win of the season. 
  • Vignola would net her 43rd total goal of the season, keeping her lead on the GNAC with 8 more than the next closest.
  • Finlayson (5) and Joly (4) would combine for 9 of the Chargers 15 goals on the day while Bronson puts herself second in the conference in assist with 25 after picking up four more this game.

The Chargers will host their first night game of the year against New England College on Tuesday, March 31st at 7PM.
