Weston, MA – The Colby-Sawyer women's lacrosse team improved to 7-0 on Thursday evening, as the Chargers won 16-5 against Regis. Lauren Vignola (Ringwood, NJ) tied the program record for single-game goals, as Vignola scored eight on the day. Elena Bronson (Monkton, VT) tied the program record for single-game assists, as Bronson recorded six assists.

With 13:38 to go in the first quarter, Grace Joly (Windham, ME) assisted Vignola to give the Chargers a 1-0 lead. Less than a minute later, Vignola scored from a Reese Holcomb (Essex Junction, VT) assist to make it a 2-0 lead. A little less than one and a half minutes later, Vignola completed the hat trick off a feed from Bronson. 15 seconds after Vignola's goal, Serenity Ayala scored a goal for the Pride to make the scoreline 3-1. 30 seconds afterwards, Maddie Sainato added a goal for the Pride. Joly assisted Rose Finlayson (Hopkinton, NH) to give the Chargers a 4-2 lead. Vignola, Finlayson, and Cecilia Ponzini (Windham, NH) each scored goals in the last nine minutes of the quarter. Bronson assisted each of the three goals.

Vignola scored two goals in the third quarter, the first one being assisted by Bronson, and the second one being unassisted. Just over two minutes later, Vignola assisted a goal from Madeline Knight (Pownal, ME). Ponzini assisted a Finlayson goal with 2:35 to go in the third quarter.

Knight assisted Vignola about three minutes into the fourth quarter. Audrey Mason assisted Melina Carbone's goal for Regis. With 8:16 to go in the game, Ashley Pelletier (Bridgton, ME) assisted Knight's second goal of the game. Anna Theriault assisted a goal for Regis, which was scored by Bella Marini. Vignola's eighth goal of the game came from a Joly assist with 2:55 to go. With 23 seconds left on the clock Ayala scored a goal for Regis. The Chargers won the game 16-5.
