New London, NH – The Colby-Sawyer men's tennis team takes on Wheaton College (Mass.) on Saturday in Norton, Massachusetts. 

This will be the first match of the 2026 spring season for the Chargers. The Chargers made it to the 2025 CNE Championship in their inaugural season playing in the Conference of New England. 

The Lyons have played one match in 2026 already, having beaten Endicott College 4-3 on February 15th. Last year, the Lyons made it to the first round of the NEWMAC tournament. 

The Chargers: 

• Zsombor Homonnay (Budapest, Hungary) – Homonnay is a former GNAC rookie of the year and compiled a 4-1 singles record in the fall. 

• Ashton Meuse (Newport, NH) – Meuse was 4-0 in doubles action in the fall. 

• Jacob Riis (Vineyard Haven, MA) – Riis was 3-1 in singles action and 3-1 in doubles action this past fall. 

The Lyons: 

• Pablo Munoz – Munoz won his last match for the Lyons at #2 singles.  

• Landon Wyshner – Wyshner won at #3 singles in his last match. 

• Jake Murray – Murray is 2-0 in singles action this season. 

The Historical Matchup: 

The Chargers won the matchup between the two teams last year. This will be the 17th all-time meeting between the two teams. 

Looking Ahead: 

This will be the last match for the Chargers before they head to Florida during Spring Break, where they will face off against seven different teams.
