New London, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team played a non-conference match against Keene State College on Tuesday night at the Hogan Sports Center.

The first set started off with the Owls of Keene State ahead 6-3. Consecutive kills from Brooke Tasker (Wolfeboro, N.H.), as well as two kills each from Kamryn Brakemeier (Fort Worth, Texas), Claire Rocky (Sherman, Conn.), and Brenna Piller (Simsbury, Conn.), would help the Chargers in the set. The Owls would win the first set 25-18.

The Chargers started the second set strong, building to a 9-3 lead. Both teams would battle back and forth, and the Chargers would have a 14-10 lead. Colby-Sawyer would then go on to score 6 consecutive points highlighted by Rocky, Piller, and Addison Sasnett (Virginia Beach, VA). The Chargers scored 5 more points and won the set 25-15.

The Chargers and Owls would start the third set going back and forth in a tight match, finding themselves tied at 15. A Brakemeier service ace, and a kill by Rocky would put the Chargers up by 2. The Owls went on to win the third set.

The fourth set would start off at 9-6 to the Owls. Consecutive service aces by Sasnett would help the Chargers battle to get the score to 12-10 to the Owls. Brakemeier would get two more kills, and Tasker and Rocky would each add on one more kill for the Chargers in the set. The Owls won the set 25-18.
