Rapid Recap:
  • The Chargers would come out looking to strike early as Matheus Saragosa (Sao Paulo, Brazil) would rip a shot in just the 3rd minute that missed the goal from the right. The Panthers would come right back down, taking a shot of their own in the 4th minute that missed over the top of the goal. Both teams would hold their lines for the next eight minutes as neither team was able to get a shot off. Starting goalkeeper Evan Whalen (Barrington, N.H.) would save three of those shots with two of them being stopped by the defensive line. The Chargers would end the first half with a shot to break the 0-0 tie, as they took 4 corner kicks in five minutes. The half would end in both teams tied at 0.

The Chargers had a couple shots from Kaden Lewis (Lunenburg, Mass.) and Damian Moreno (Columbia) that were stopped by the Panthers. The 0-0 tie would break in the 80th minute as the Panthers Nick Ferro would score the go ahead goal, assisted by Luke McLaughlin. Griffin Gamache would add some insurance for the Panthers in the 85th minute to make it 2-0.
