Chargers Fall Short to Blue Jays

West Hartford, Conn. - The Colby-Sawyer men's tennis team fell on the road to the University of Saint Joseph's (Conn.) 5-2 Saturday.  
 
Rapid Recap Game 1:  
  • In doubles action, the Blue Jays picked up wins at the one and two doubles positions to take the opening point from the Chargers. The duo of first-years David Dvorak (Prague, Czech Republic) and Jacob Riis (Vineyard Haven, Mass.) would pick up a 6-2 win at the third doubles position for the Chargers.  
  • The Blue Jays would pick up four singles wins to claim the 5-2 win over the Chargers. Junior Peyton Meuse (Newport, N.H.) won 7-6(3), 6-2 at number three while Dvorak cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at number four.  
  
Up Next:  
The Chargers return to action on Thursday when they host conference powerhouse Nichols College with a 3:00 PM start.
