CHARGERS OUTDOOR DEBUTS LEAD THE WAY AT SNHU

MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Colby-Sawyer men's track team competed at the SNHU Spring Invitational where the team saw multiple debuts both on the track and on the field that kicked off the season.

  • Starting in the field, Junior Matthew Gaudioso (Branford, Conn.) kicked things off for the Chargers as he made his outdoor debut, carrying his strong indoor season with him. Gaudioso threw a personal best in discus, throwing 27.97m. He followed that with a 10.53m throw in shot put. 
  • First Year's Brady Rogers (Newfields, N.H.) and Elijah Thomas (Fairfax, Virginia) made their track debuts for the program while both competing in the high jump. Thomas would edge out Rogers, as he jumped 1.85m followed by Rogers with a 1.65m jump as they finished 6th and 11th. Rogers would later go on to compete in the Javelin where he would throw 46.99m which would place him 6th overall.
  • First Year sprinting duo, Mason Sayers (Lanesborough, Mass.) and Brady Curley (Hillsborough, N.H.) would both take on the 100m and 200m for the Chargers. Sayers would lead the way as he ran an 11.67 in the 100m dash, followed by a 24.14 200m later in the day. Curley would finish right behind Sayers on his way to a 11.77 finish in the 100m, and a 24.36 in the 200m.
