MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD KICK OFF SPRING SEMESTER AT PLYMOUTH

PLYMOUTH, N.H. - The Colby-Sawyer men's indoor track and field team headed to Plymouth State on Saturday morning to kick off their Spring semester with sever personal bests and some big jumps in the conference performance list! 

Rapid Recap:
  • Six Chargers took on the 60m dash with Brady Curley (Hillsborough, N.H) led the way with a time of 7.42. Curley would just miss a new personal best by .03 seconds, but would come back in the 200m to lead the Chargers again with a personal best time of 23.93 marking the first time he has gone sub 24 in his young career.
  • Joe Pasco would have a great first meet back for the Chargers as he competed in the 60m dash and pole vault. Pasco would be the third fastest Charger on the day in the 60m with a time of 7.95. He would go on to finish tied for second with DII Saint Anselm in the pole vault with a mark of 4.00m to score 7 points for the Chargers.
  • Evan Vitagliano (Groton, Conn.) would have a strong double in the mile and 800m for the Chargers. He would run a 4:46.79 in the mile, putting him third in the conference. Vitagliano would go on to run a 2:06.95 in the 800m to take home 6th overall and put himself third in the conference for that event as well.
  • On the field side, the Chargers saw a big jump in a personal best from Parker Hilton (Hudson, N.H.) in men's weight throw. Hilton would get a new mark almost half a meter better than his previous one, while improving by over two meters frm a year ago at the same meet. 
Inside the Numbers:
  • The Chargers currently hold 13 spots across all events that are in scoring position when it comes to the GNAC Championship next month.
  • The Chargers open the second half of their indoor schedule with 7 personal bests.
  • The Chargers scored a total 13 points for 6th place as a team.
