Chargers Finish 5th At GNAC Indoor Championships

BOSTON, MASS. - The Colby-Sawyer women's track and field team would finish 5th at this years GNAC Indoor Championship at Boston University.

Rapid Recap:
  • The distance duo of Adriana Nadeau (Londonderry, N.H.) and Leah O'Neill (Peabody, Mass.) would lead the charge on the track. Nadeau would secure 10 points for the Chargers with a 5000m win with a time of 19:35.83. O'Neill would be right behind her securing 8 more points for the Chargers with a time of 20:28.64. Nadeau would go on to finish on the podium again, finishing 3rd in the 3000m with a time of 11:44.81. O'Neill would finish 5th with a time of 12:02.47. Nadeau would come back in the mile, where she would finish 6th. Both would be named to the All-Conference team for their efforts.
  • The distance medley relay comprised of Leah O'Neill, Adriana Nadeau, Maisy Hill (Bristol, VT) and Payton Dugan (Vincennes, Ind.) would finish 6th in the relay with a time of 15:11.58.
  • First Year, Teddy Pollack (Arlington, Mass.) would just miss the podium in the weight throw as she would finish 4th for the Chargers getting a new personal best of 12.07m.
Inside the Numbers: 
  • The Chargers would finish 5th as a team with a combined total of 31 points. Nadeau, and O'Neill would get All-Conference recognition in the 5000m, while Nadeau would recieve honors in the 3000m as well.

The Chargers will have another weekend off as they prep for the D.III New England Championships in Boston, Massachusetts hosted by Boston University.
