CHARGERS END SEMESTER WITH IMPRESSIVE PERFORMANCE AT DARTMOUTH

HANOVER, N.H. - The Colby-Sawyer men's indoor track and field team headed up I-89 Saturday morning to end their semester at the Dartmouth Winter Meet.

Rapid Recap:
  • Sophomore Mason Sayers led the Chargers 60m dash group of personal bests as he would run a 7.23 in the preliminary heats before nearly hitting another best in the finals with a 7.24, landing 5th overall. Noah Fusco and Martin Bragg would both follow Sayers with personal bests themselves with a 7.55 and 7.82 respectively.
  • Oliver Van Hattum would become a Chargers record holder in the 300m dash with a 40.57.
  • First Year Evan Vitagliano would come just half a second off from winning the 500m. Vitagliano would cross the line in a time of 1:09.28, just .11 seconds shy of the school record. 
  • Joseph Pasco would make his season debut in the Pole Vault where he would finish 7th overall with a jump of 4.25m.
  • Charles-Riley Curtis would have a huge step up in the men's shot put, as he would throw almost a meter further this week with a 9.91m distance. 
  • Captain Matthew Gaudioso would finish 10th overall in men's weight throw as he would toss a new personal best by almost two full meters with a distance of 12.32m.
Up Next:
The Chargers will head into winter break before coming back to complete the rest of their indoor season starting back up in January.
