MEN'S BASKETBALL ENDS ROAD TRIP AGAINST FRAMINGHAM

Framingham, Mass. – The Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team played Framingham State University in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday evening. 

Rapid Recap: 

  • A three-pointer by Elijah Thomas (Fairfax, VA) kicked things off for the Chargers, as the Rams would lead 5-3. A Sean Peterson (Chester, N.H.) layup would see the Chargers take their first lead of the game with a 9-8 score. Tobey Bellows and Andrew Blunt (Alexandria, VA) would both knock down threes, as the Chargers' lead grew to 15-10. The Rams would get the lead back, but a Junior Efosa dunk saw the Chargers go ahead with a 27-26 scoreline. Emmanuel Adarkwa (Lawrenceville, GA) made two free throws to end the half, with the Chargers trailing 43-40. 

  • Less than three minutes into the second half, Tevin Edmunds hit a jump shot to put the Chargers back into the lead with a score of 47-45. With six minutes to go Edmunds made a three, as the Chargers would trail 67-58. Thomas would score the next five points for the Chargers. Framingham State would end up winning the game 79-64. 

Inside the Numbers: 

  • Blunt finished the game with 12 points and five rebounds. 

  • Efosa finished the game with 11 points and eight rebounds. 

  • Edmunds finished the game with 10 points and seven assists. 

  • Tuesday marked the fourth straight road game for the Chargers. 

Up Next: 

On Saturday, the Chargers will play their home opener at the Hogan Sports Center against Salem State University at 1:30pm.
