Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

CHARGERS STUN SAINTS ON THE ROAD WITH 2-1 VICTORY

BOSTON, MASS. - The Colby-Sawyer men's soccer team headed to Boston to take on GNAC rival, Emmanuel College looking to pick up their first conference win. 

Rapid Recap:
  • Fallou Mbengue got things started with the Chargers as he scored the opening goal just 71 seconds into the match. Mbengue's first collegiate goal would come from the foot of Colin Riley-Perec (Plymouth, Mass.).
  • Riley-Perec would add some insurance for the Chargers as he would come back and later score just 8 and a half minutes later to help Colby-Sawyer open up a 2-0 lead. 
  • The Saints would respond later in the first half as Pierre Paul Labossiere would score his second goal of the season off an assist from Jacob Beck.
  • The Chargers defense would hold steady in the second half as they would stop every chance the Saints created for themselves.
Inside the Numbers: 
  • Yener Bartolon (West Palm Beach, Fla.) would record 5 saves in net during his 50th career start. 
  • Riley-Perec would score his third goal of the 2025 season, and his first assist of the year.

The Chargers will return to action against Fitchburg St. on Tuesday, October 7th at 7pm in Fitchburg, Mass.
