NEW LONDON, N.H. - The Colby-Sawyer men's soccer team hosted their last home game of the 2025 season against Albertus Magnus on Saturday afternoon while celebrating their 9 seniors for Senior Day.
Rapid Recap:
- Right from the kickoff, both teams made an early push to knock in the games first goal. The Chargers would rip three shots early in the game, looking for an early lead. It would, however, be the Falcons who found the back of the net first thanks to Aiden Coelho in the 39th minute.Â
- The Chargers would start with some strong pressure against the Falcons, drawing a couple corner kicks early in the second half. Colby-Sawyer would draw a corner kick in the 56th minute that found the head of Fallou Mbengue who sent it to the foot of Landon Blanco for the equalizer.
- The Chargers had momentum from that moment on, ripping multiple shots while keeping possession in Falcons territory. Colby-Sawyer would then play a man up after a 76th minute ejection for the Falcons that kept the pressure of attack building for the Chargers. A strong defensive hold from Albertus Magnus would hold the match a 1, giving both teams a point in the standings.

- The Chargers celebrated Senior day, where they would recognize nine members graduating in the class of 2026.
- Fallou Mbengue would pick up his first collegiate assist while Landon Blanco picked up his second goal.
- The Chargers now sit in 9th place in the GNAC, just 2 points behind the Falcons for 8th place. A win in their regular season finale and a loss by Albertus Magnus, and the Chargers get into the playoffs.Â
