Springfield, Mass. – The Chargers won their non-conference match against Western New England University 3-1 on Tuesday evening.
Rapid Recap:
· The Chargers started the first set strong, as they built a 13-9 lead. The Chargers stayed strong and won the first set 25-21 after two kills from Brenna Piller (Simsbury, Conn.), and three kills from Kamryn Brakemeier (Fort Worth, Texas).
· Another strong beginning to the second set saw the Chargers lead 15-11. Two kills each from Claire Rocky (Sherman, Conn.) and Brooke Tasker (Wolfeboro, N.H.) were important in the Chargers' efforts to win the second set 25-19.
· The third set saw the Chargers lead 12-9. Tasker and Brakemeier would both record another kill. WNE won the third set 25-20.
· Set number four started off strong for the Chargers, as they led 16-11. Two kills from Addison Sasnett (Virginia Beach, VA) helped the Chargers get to a 20-18 lead. Brakemeier, Bree Bacon (Brookline, Mass.), and Piller would all record kills to help the Chargers win the set 27-25, and ultimately the match 3-1.
Inside the Numbers:
· The Chargers extend their winning streak to 3 games.
· Madison Sinatro (Simsbury, Conn.) earned her career best in digs, getting 29 on day.
· Brakemeier led the Chargers in kills, getting 13.

The Chargers return to the Hogan Sports Center for a conference match against Rivier University on Saturday for an 11am start.
