New London, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team won 3-0 against Anna Maria on Tuesday Night at the Hogan Sports Center.
Rapid Recap:
· The Chargers jumped out to a 19-10 lead in the first set. A couple service aces from Cassidy Ladd and kills from Jules Larock (Austin, Texas) and Kamryn Brakemeier (Fort Worth, Texas) helped the Chargers seal the first set victory.
· The Chargers took a 13-12 lead in the second set. The Chargers went on a run of scoring points to win the second set 25-13. Kills from Madison Sinatro (Simsbury, Conn.), Brooke Tasker (Wolfeboro, N.H.), Leah Barlow (Bourne, Mass.), Sailor Plourde (Branford, Conn.), and Brakemeier helped the Chargers get to the 2-0 lead.
· The Chargers jumped to a 17-9 lead in set number three. Two kills by Plourde, and two service aces by Bree Bacon (Brookline, Mass.) helped the Chargers win the third set 25-12.
Inside the Numbers:
· The Chargers finished the day with 16 aces.
· Plourde set her new career best in kills with 8.
· Bacon led the way in assists, recording 22 on the day.
