PLYMOUTH, N.H. - The Colby-Sawyer women's track team took a trip to Plymouth St. to take on the Panther Invitational to end Winter camp.
Rapid Recap:
- First year, Lila Brillhart (Underhill, VT.) made her return to the track for the Chargers as she competed in the 60m dash and 200m. She ran her way to an 8.35 in the preliminary heats to qualify for the finals later in the day. Brillhart would go on to run 8.43 in the final of the 60m dash, tying for 6th place overall. She would go on to take on the 200m, where she would run the first sub 30 of the year, crossing the line in 28.34 which saw her place 5th overall.
- Sophomore, Maisy Hill (Bristol, VT.) would make her return to the 800m where she would run her way to a 7th place finish surrounded by Keene St. athletes. She would cross the line in a time of 2:46.81 to help score 2 points for the Chargers.
- The distance duo was back for another race together as Adriana Nadeau (Londonderry, N.H.) and Leah O'Neill (Peabody, Mass.) took on the 5000m. Nadeau would go on to run a 20:02.89 finishing second overall, but scoring 10 points for the Chargers. O'Neill would continue her string of personal records, as she adds another to her Junior season, beating her indoor record by 59 seconds! She would go on to score 5 points for the Chargers, finishing 5th overall.
- First year Annaliese Rowell (Sunapee, NH) would have a great day on the hurdles, qualifying for the finals. In the preliminaries, she would run a new personal best with a 10.99, almost marking a full second faster then her previous best. She would go on to score 1 point for the Chargers in the final as she would run an 11.12.
- First year, Teddy Pollack (Arlington, Mass.) would continue to lead the Chargers in the field as she powered her way to two new college personal records. She would throw an 8.65m distance in shotput, improving her best by .65m from the week prior. She would add to her day improving her weight throw mark by .15m, as she finished with a 10.85m distance.
Inside the Numbers:Â
- Brillhart shot herself right to the top of the conference this weekend as she is now ranked second in the 60m dash with her time of 8.35. She also is ranked 4th in the 200m dash after giving the Chargers their first sub 30 of the year.
- Maisy Hill placed herself in potential scoring position in her second race on the young indoor season, as she is now ranked 8th in the 800m after racing her way to second in the 1000m last weekend.Â
- Nadeau and O'Neill both made their marks on the conference performance list, as they rank first and third respectively in the 5k.
- Rowell has placed herself in possible scoring position as well with her new personal best of 10.99 as she currently ranks tied for 7th in the conference.
- Pollack continues to find her way of clawing up the performance list as she moves into 9th for shotput, and 8th for weight throw.
